Seeds.
Shockingly, not a reference to Final Fantasy 8.
Please, just give me a newsletter. Or an RSS feed. Or even better– both, so I can make a choice. There are things I don't want to miss. Stuff I want to keep track of. Stuff and things that, when they pop into my purview, aren't going to annoy the piss out of me because I granted them the privilege to take up space in my inbox.

- fanfic from friends
- thoughtful writing prompts, like this one:
Jack Kornfield says, There's a place to plant a seed of forgiveness, or a seed of justice, or a seed of attention, or a seed of truthfulness. Think about the garden of your heart, the garden of your life. Write about seeds you are planting—and remember seeds are tiny!
What I got all goin' on in there?
Some seeds I have been cultivating are...
- creative intention
- rest / idleness
- connection (by letting go)
- reading
- contemplation
- silliness
- just-enough-venting-to-let-off-pressure
- calm community
"Creative Intention" meaning, to just indulge in my hobbies, to play around and make things. The end product (ick) isn't the goal; more of the process of.
I'm always in danger of "doing too much," so I've been more cautious of what to put on my plate, and what I'm capable of adding to it.
I should just be reading more. This year, I've read a lot of books that aren't just science fiction, too!
And I'm always contemplating, but the trick is not to let it drag on to "ruminating." I definitely do that a lot.
Re: Silly
Still going to vent, but most times I'll keep it contained beyond a passing mention. Like with that other thing.
"Calm Community" being in spaces that aren't in a constant state of upheaval. I thrive better in meetups that are of the chill beverage type (that aren't at bars or breweries). Despite the ambiance of most cafes being absolute trash, being around other people that show up however they can– that is so nice! I also like meetups where you can do things with your hands... I should take up knitting.
