BQC: Ten Pointless Facts About Me
No one tagged me to participate, but I follow cool peeps like Shellsharks and CMDR NOVA so I decided to jump on the bandwagon!
Do you floss your teeth?
At least once a day, in the evening. I used to be terrible at keeping up with this habit until I was recommended a water flosser. By no means it replaces the good ol' string, but it's better than not doing it at all.
Also, my dentist swears by the "double floss" ones. Give 'em a try!
Tea, coffee, or water?
As usual, it depends. Water is great all-around and the first thing I reach for. Tea is comforting, perfect for lounging around or reading. And when I can't get struck by lightning to wake my ass up, I get coffee.
Favourite dessert?
- tres de leches
- cheesecake
- ice cream
- knafeh
In no particular order, and I tend toward the creamy stuff. And, of course, I'm now one of those people that takes their dessert with coffee.
The first thing you do when you wake up?
Look out the window adjacent to my bed and just veg for a few minutes. Either the morning routine kicks in or I go back to sleep.
Age you’d like to stick at?
Honestly? 30. It was that sweet spot between "augh young-feeling" and "I finally feel like I'm an adult." Also 31 hit me like a truck.
How many hats do you own?
Off the top of my head, probably 7. Headwraps/coverings-as-hats bump that number to about 12.
Describe the last photo you took?
I don't like zooming for photos unless I absolutely have to; they always come out terrible. So I crept as close as possible to a baby gosling and their parents. It was tricky business, and I had to walk pass other geese to do it. I got hissed at a lot. Out of a few quick snaps you can barely make out the yellow floof among the grass.
I came away unscathed.
Worst TV show?
I don't care if it's the worst, I just really fucking hate Friends.
As a child, what was your aspiration for adulthood?
Everyone had me down for some flavor of cartoonist, and I did dabble in journalism quite a bit– I dreamed of being a columnist for Gamer's Republic, for example, reviewing cool games or interviewing Nobuo Uematsu. And then I got my little grubby hands on The Internet and thought "hey, I could do some of this." We're still trying to figure out what "this" is. 😉
Otherwise, I answered every "WDYWTBWYGU?" question with "generic famous" or "generic artist." It's what everyone wants to hear. But I've always internally settled on... being happy and supported with whatever I did– as long as a computer was involved.
