Target Audience???

what is this thing who are you

A kid was turning away to return to his group of friends, but pauses. He then turns around to the viewer, asking "Wait a minute. Who are you?"

In a bid to try and be more active on Blacksky, I agreed to be asked a bunch of questions about my blog, like who my target audience is. And it kept stumping me because I don't really have one in mind. I mean, I guess if you like nostalgic navel-gazing 40-plus people, you should sign up! But I'm not after a specific demographic. I'm just a nostalgic ruminating millennial who types to damn much.

After much yammering on my part I managed to distill it to "BLERDy Creative Slice-of-Lifer" because I dunno yo, this is just a personal blog with the occasional Essay Topic that could probably warrant a "target" audience. It's for fun, never for profit (but the tip jar is in the footer).

In short: not all blogs are journals, and not all journals need to be blogs. But I am of the "journal blog" variety, where my primary audience is myself, and sometimes I feel like sharing.

It's... whatever, yo.

And that's cool.

I want to thank DaPurpleSharpie for reaching out and making me think about this sorta thing. She saw the smoke come out of my ears and everything!

no ai webring previous random next a bluegreen rectangle showing the words the NO AI webring, with NO AI being written by a fountain pen, all in the style of 16 bit Windows 95 icons. to either side are two equally Windows-95-style cursors pointing left and right, softly bouncing up and down. in between it all is a small black question mark
