AND ANOTHER THING

Two more links in my argument against genAI.

The post was published before I could add these two links, but they illustrate further my ire and criticism of generative AI. Now, because of that context, there is a bit of a spoiler– no way am I going to link to positive stuff.

The first is aptly titled "The future of web development is AI. Get on or get left behind." As someone with a web design/dev background, it got a chuckle out of me.

The second one made me swoon and stuff, because it beautifully illustrates the biggest problem with this gen AI stuff (emphasis mine):

It works. Until it doesn't. And when it doesn't, it fails in ways that look like success. That's the danger.

That's all I have to leave it as, and I implore you to read the GitHub page for "ArtificialCast" in its entirety. It has steps and procedures and all that technical shit. Just... chef's kiss. Give this person the cool beverage of their choice.

This is why I had so many links in my previous entry– a lot of people have said it a lot better than I could have.

But I promise– next post? It'll be something I love, I swear. And it's one I positively cannot shut up about.

no ai webring previous random next a bluegreen rectangle showing the words the NO AI webring, with NO AI being written by a fountain pen, all in the style of 16 bit Windows 95 icons. to either side are two equally Windows-95-style cursors pointing left and right, softly bouncing up and down. in between it all is a small black question mark
