21. Another Small Thing I Like

It's usually not small, but you know.

Really long comments. Yeah, sometimes comments can be wack. But the really, really, really, really long ones I come across more than make up for it.

A recent one: I'm browsing around reliving one of my favorite scifi concepts, and someone waltzes in with a 5-plus paragraph essay stating something like "nah, if we tried this science fiction thing in real life here's how we'd really do it."

No point in being eloquent, so here's what I mean: fiction allows you to explore other possibilities. Different takes on a problem or a trope. Some creative, more granular, even more human. Or, just silly; we can't be serious all the time.
