The End (and kinda phoning it in)

shrug emoji

So, hey, the end of Blaugust came and went before you knew it, huh? I don't have a lot of them, but I do have some final thoughts.

First, what I would do differently is... actually prepare. Figure out what I can write for each day and even buff up the queue a little. But for someone reason I'm less spontaneous when I look at it that way, so it's a conscious effort to bake in some flexibility (which I did when I decided to rant about lack of decent captioning instead of my intended theme that day).

...And uh, that's basically my 3 to 5 takeaways, I guess.

Up to no good
Searching for tomorrow
Misunderstood
Well, you're headed straight into the flames
Left into it, you're out of your mind
It's so good to let go, so good to let go
Let them know it's by design

--Coheed and Cambria, "Searching for Tomorrow"

This is my Birthday Month! I have a lot of fun stuff planned, despite, hmm, everything. They'll be a lot of music, movies, squeeze in some camping, and hopefully get some swimming in because I still haven't done that this year! I miss being so close to water, sometimes; growing up there was no shortage of places to dip your toes in.

Low energy. Still got those pesky drafts, you know. They'll be posted this month as I just focus on Fun Stuff because by god I need some. I'll pop up again at some point.

Oh! And as is tradition, this song will be played. And as the comments below attest, it's quite popular when the big Four Oh comes around:

In the morning I wake up, and in the night I sleep
Since the day that I was born, repeat, repeat, repeat
Brought to this life, born to this life, where was I before?
Non-existent? Not at all? Will I ever know?

no ai webring previous random next a bluegreen rectangle showing the words the NO AI webring, with NO AI being written by a fountain pen, all in the style of 16 bit Windows 95 icons. to either side are two equally Windows-95-style cursors pointing left and right, softly bouncing up and down. in between it all is a small black question mark
