For Those That're New Here
We're just bringing you up to speed.
Heya!
Instead of doing a poem a day for #NaPoWriMo, I find myself going through the archives for broken links and absent images. Because since I've moved, I've been putting that off... and with the world on fire it has been a nice distraction.
And lately, someone asked me a question I never really considered:
Where do I start on this thing?
I, uh, still don't know how to answer that. Because where would one start? All the way to the beginning? (I haven't found my groove yet!) In the middle of things, where I hit my stride? Or the last two years because that's when life began getting really interesting?
So of course, I take another option: cherry picking!
What's This Thing About, Anyway?
Oh, I talk about whatever. To keep it short, I talk about what happens in my life: the queer, Black, nerdy, nostalgic stuff. Experiences, brain dumps. I also ruminate a lot and have bouts of introspection.
Some common tags are books, social media, lgbtq, whatever this is, poetry (and #NaPoWriMo) and me, of course! Some old categories are Culture and Blogging.
I am also silly as hell.

There will be swears. I swear. A lot. And can be crass, to the horror of those with more decorum that know me offline can attest. I have STRONG OPINIONS about things.

Here's a bit of why I do what I do.
Now, some general Life Developments while bringing you up to speed:
- ...I don't like talking about my college days.
- I freelanced for a bit; it sucked and I still have burnout! Now I consult and get people started in tech things. And I won't shut up about social media.
- I'm non-monogamous! I'll link to a more serious post... once I make one. For a future "Throwback Thursday" I can repost a more coherent breakdown of this.
- I'm very, very queer.

- My spirituality is... complicated?
- I had a hysterectomy! NO REGRETS!
- I got into some hashing! It's definitely not a cult!
- I picked up VTubing!
- I deleted facebook! It's been a change, but ultimately a positive one. I've been insufferable about it ever since.
- I'm working on a webring! (It'll be out when it's ready.)
- I am very short on patience and generally 200% done with this bullshit.
- Back on a positive note, 🎉 I recently celebrated my 200th post! 🎊
Future Topics
Some things to expect in the near future: more finalized drafts, a ton of poems as I have absolutely slacked on NaPoWriMo this year, and bitching about generative AI because what the fuck y'all it's fucking terrible.
