Canceled Plans...
I mean, yeah, there's disappointment when plans are canceled. I love looking forward to stuff! And if it's a really cool thing I'd be really bummed! But...

But...
I kinda love it when my schedule suddenly has an opening. Now there are possibilities! I can catch up on other friends, tackle some Adulting Thing I've been putting off, or just take time for a breather.
Today was a combination of all three. I texted a friend, finally cleaned the car (inside and out, poor thing), and I've finally done something my therapist recommended, and what I really haven't had a chance to:
After I rolled out of the car wash, I had a nice little "me" date.
I went to a favorite restaurant, did a lot of window shopping, and just sat and vibed in a hookah lounge. I curled up in a very comfy couch and began a new book; I puffed away at a peach-vanilla combo as I drank water and listened to trap bingo in their event room (it sounded incredibly fun! and with their doors and my Loop earbuds, it wasn't as stressful as it could have been).
It was nice.
It is good to have just time for yourself, you know? And with current events and traumatizing situations, it is something I need more often these days.
No matter how busy your schedule gets– I recommend it. Even if it's just flopping on the couch or something equally low-key. It is good self-care.
